Beautiful statue of a young girl and her child in Italian porcelain from the 19th century, dating from the 1850s. Damage to the back of the Virgin was renovated. Nice quality. Capodimonte is a porcelain produced by the manufacture of the same name established in 1743 in the collinary area of Capodimonte in Naples, under the aegis of Charles de Bourbon, king of Naples and future Charles III of Spain. with his wife, Queen Marie-Amlie, they create the royal factor of Capodimonte adjoining the Palais de Capodimonte in Naples, former royal summer residence. Thanks to this factory, the monarchs gave birth to one of the famous forms of Italian art. The king collects masterpieces at the Capodimonte museum. Capodimonte porcelain has gone through time thanks to the creativity of Neapolitan artists. Capodimonte porcelain objects (signed by a crowned N) are recognized and sought after by collectors.
