Boccaccio is an original hand-colored lithograph artwork realized by Dolfino in 19th Century. Signed on the plate on the lower left Titled on the lower center. The state of preservation of the artwork is very good. An impressive piece of art represents the portrait of Boccaccio through short and soft strokes, details of the artwork are perfectly applied through preciseness and delicacy with harmonious colors. Giovanni Boccaccio (1313 – 1375) was an Italian writer, poet, correspondent of Petrarch, and an important Renaissance humanist. He is one of the most important figures in the European literary panorama of the fourteenth century.
