Description
From the unusual style is recognized this beautiful Chinese carpet of the Art Deco period in bright colors and rather unusual. On the salmon pink background there is a cascade of flowers with shades ranging from green to blue, from beige to pink and the black band on which they are placed creates light and contrast making this article a piece of furniture of great impact and elegance. This type of Chinese rug was born around the ’20s on the initiative of Walter Nichols, an American merchant who, having moved to China, opened a carpet factory in 1924, designed for the American market. Rugs that, while maintaining the classic Chinese style, were characterized by the originality of the decor and the “risky” selection of colors.
