A pair of wall light fixtures by Kinkeldey, Germany, manufactured in the mid century, circa 1970 (late 1960s or early 1970s). The wall lights are executed to a very high standard. The large square crystals reflect the light beautifully. These modernist design light fixtures were designed by the Kinkeldey design team during the 1970s and manufactured in Germany, Europe. Suitable for all living areas and very decorative. Cleaned and re-wired, in full working order and ready to use. The crystal shades, all original and in excellent condition, screwed securely to the frame. This fixtures can be disassembled and the crystals individually wrapped for easy transport. Kinkeldey is a German manufacturer of high-end lighting fixtures. The company attracted international attention when they won the prestigious IF Design Award in 1969 with a chandelier fitted with prism cut crystals. Though these wall lights show the same quality as fixtures of companies like Bakalowits, Lobmeyer and Palwa, the Kinkeldey models tend to be more modern in their design approach.
