Description
Nude Woman is an original etching realized by Bertrand PY (1895-1973) during the 20th century. The original work is contained in a cream colored cardboard passepartout (35×50 cm). Good conditions apart some little tear along the low edge of the original work. Pencil signature. Born in 1895, Bertrand Py was predominantly influenced by the 1900s and 1910s. The first major Post-impressionism movement in the beginning of the twentieth century is generally considered to be the Fauves, a group for whom vivid, other-worldly colors and vibrant brushstrokes were a key component of painting, and who counted Henri Matisse as a member.
