Ddi a Madame Vve. Charlet is an original artwork realized by Hippolyte Bellang in 1846. Original lithograph on paper. The title appear on the lower central margin “Ddi a Madame Vve. Charlet”. Signed on the plate and dated on the lower right margin. Editor Gihaut Frres Paris, printed by Villain. Passpartout included cm 50,5×64,5 The artwork represents the statue of the painter Nicolas Toussaint Charlet while it is presented to the people. The artwork is depicted skilfully in a well-balanced composition. Good conditions except for a sign of humidity that doesn’t affect the image. Joseph Louis Hippolyte Bellang (1800 1866), a French battle scene painter and printmaker. His art was inspired by the wars fought by Napoleon; he produced several military drawings in lithography and etching. In 1824, he received a class medal for a historical picture and, in 1834, the decoration of the Legion of Honour. He also won a prize at the Universal Exposition.
