Description
Wonderful opaline glass vase, with opaque surface due to acid treatment, worked in bas-relief with floral decoration in full Liberty – Art Nouveau style. Made and signed under the base by Muller-Frres, datable between 1910 and 1930. Important is the bas-relief workmanship with semicircular bands creating an effect of wide, intersecting flakes, with a delicate bas-relief floral decoration between one flake and another, very similar to the floral decorations of Austrian Wiener Keramik or Powolny ceramics. Also impressive is the rather thick and heavy glass, matted with acid treatment.
