BIOGRAPHY
Aldo Mondino (Turin 1938-2005) begins its own personal artistic adventure as an interpreter of the conceptual movement, and then gradually direct research on a decidedly more pictorial side. From works on Faesite, for example, to its sculptures made with always different materials up to the recovery of painting filtered by a great attraction to the East, Africa, Morocco and India. The Poetic Universe of Mondino is in the name of stylistic eclecticism and a great irony that pervades all its work. The words of words between titles and contents are like its famous dancing dervishes, presented at the 1993 Venice Biennale curated by Achille Bonito Oliva, which seem suspended in a surreal space. His work, born in the framework of a research linked to European conceptual experimentation, soon rediscovers a relationship with the completely personal painting. He exhibited in important galleries and museums in Italy and abroad.
