Description
A sunning large cast bronze Jardiniere from Japan and dating circa 1890. Birds of different species in various positions of flight are cast in high relief around the outside of the bowl. The detail in the birds and the trailing plants, which are cast in lower relief, is exquisite. The jardiniere does have a few dings and is slightly misshapen, there’s also some damage to the base as shown in the photos but it still looks great. 28cm / 11″ tall
