Description
Spanish Walnut Throne with skin from the 17th century.
Sculpted This museum exampier is made of walnut wood decorated with a rectangular openwork front panel (which has bands and geometric elements) and two sides with a curved bottom edge, which has a leather seat and backrest. Inlays cut from thin leather and sewn on the leather. The sides are lined with metal elements. The frailero armchair, a typology of essentially Italian origin, has become one of the most popular Spanish seating furniture since its introduction in the 16th century, characteristic of that period and the 17th century; within the 19th century historicisms it was regained again .
