Brutalist ashtray in massive bronze of Alfieri Gardone for the Lauterbach foundry, 1960s.
Very beautiful abstract composition presenting a wide variety of volumes and textures: matt granging and patinated matt in places, smooth and polished gold or copper to others.
Small verdigris dots here and there, see photos.
This ashtray or a stuck-up is absolutely nine of stock (NOS) and Qui-Plus East in its original cozy box.
He wears a “solid bronze” label and comes from a “new” lot of the 60s of the Lauterbach foundry, which you can find other pieces by looking for “Lauterbach” on Pamono.
