Description
A rare, decorative vase in disko metal by Just Andersen, Danish Grace / Art Deco 1920/30s. with two handles and hallmark: JUST in triangle, Denmark and model D18. About the artist: Just Andersen was born on Greenland in 1884, he is a renowned sculpture and silversmith. Mostly know for his work in bronze and his own invention namned after the bay where is grew up in Greenland called Disko. Disko metal is an alloy consisting of Pewter, Lead and Antimon. He is mostly appreciated for his sleak lines, timeless and sculptural shapes. He founded his own workshop in 1918 but also worked for GAB in Sweden and Georg Jensen, Denmark. He passed away in Denmark 1943.
