Description
Wonderful bronze sculpture with stone base, irregularly beveled on the sides, depicting a bust of a dog of the Neapolitan mastiff breed, signed by the artist with an engraved signature, “G.C.P.” The sculpture has a beautiful antique patina and can be dated between the end of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century, 1880-1920. The quality of the casting is excellent, the bronze is of very high quality, very heavy and with an excellent sound similar to a bell when touched by a metal object. Finally, note the beauty of the coat, made rough with a very high level of workmanship, the ears, the wonderful folds of fat on the muzzle and neck of the animal, typical of this breed.
