Industrial Factory Lights By Rech Circa 1920s Typ 2 – Cast iron tops – Branded “Rech” in relief letters on each top – Takes E27 fitting bulbs – Comes with 120cm of chain and cable – Comes with ceiling hook – Produced by Rech, Cologne – Salvaged from a large Ironworks in Trier, Saarland – German ~ 1920s – 43cm wide x 52cm tall Rech Founded by Friedrich Rech in Cologne in 1898, Rech produced gas lights until 1905 when they began producing electric lights for use in factories, workplaces and public spaces. The original factory was destroyed during WW2 during the allied bombing campaign on Cologne in 1944, the company continued after the war and relocated to Neuwied-Oberbieber. Condition Report Fully re wired with modern electrical components and the shades and cat iron tops have been refinished. The shades will show signs of dents and dings as well as small rust spots in places.
