Maravillas con variaciones Acrosticas is an original contemporary artwork realized by Joan Mir in 1975. Mixed colored lithograph on Guarro Paper. Edition of 1500. Signed in plate on the lower right Good conditions except for a light yellowing of paper. Includes frame: 74.5 x 96 cm Ref. Cramer 1061. Joan Mir (1893-1983) was a Spanish painter, sculptor and ceramist, an exponent of surrealism. Attracted by the artistic community that met in Montparnasse, in 1920 he settled in Paris, where he met Picasso and the Dadaist circle of Tristan Tzara. Already in this period, in which he drew in the academy La Grande Chaumire, began to outline his style decidedly original, influenced initially by the dadaists but later brought to abstraction by the influence of poets and writers surrealists.
