Description
This exquisite panel, originating from Jiangsu, eastern China circa 1880, is composed of five rectangular panels of carving made from elm wood. Visually striking, each of the panels feature figures from Chinese legend or history, impeccably carved in traditional robes against a backdrop of floral and foliage. Set within a scalloped moulded frame, the panel is a striking decorative feature for a console table or bed.
