Description
from Jiangsu, China circa 1880, this horizontal panel once served as an internal room divider. Constructed with elm wood, it consists of five separate panels finished in a dark wood stain. Intricate floral patterns and rudimentary figures have been carved into the wood, creating a contrast between the lighter frames and darker carved elements. Great as a unique wall decoration, it could be hung over a bed or sideboard in a dining room.
