Description
Oil on canvas. Native of Cremona, Mario Natale Biazzi, after having attended the Carrara Academy of Bergamo, moves to Brera, in Milan, where he knows and lives in close contact with those who will be the greatest exponents of Futurism and Italian Art. Endowed with incredible talent, he won several awards at international level and stayed for two years in London, confirming himself as the most “European” of the Cremonese painters. Returning to Cremona, he became the official portrait painter of the whole bourgeoisie, sought after for the incredible investigative capacity of his portraits, never predictable and always extremely psychological and intense. This portrait of a lady is also striking for the intensity of the gaze, the position of the body that conveys determination, and the chromatic characteristics of Bazzi, who prefers acid colors and cold tones. The work is presented in frame.
