Description
Oil on canvas. Signed and dated 1941-XIX (year of the fascist era) in the upper right corner. Originally from Cremona, Mario Natale Biazzi, after attending the Carrara Academy of Bergamo, he moved to Brera, in Milan, where he knew and lived in close contact with those who will be the greatest exponents of Futurism and Italian art. Endowed with incredible talent, he won several awards at international level and stayed for two years in London, confirming himself as the most “European” of the Cremonese painters. Back in Cremona became the official portrait painter of the entire bourgeoisie, sought after for the incredible ability to investigate his portraits, never obvious and always extremely psychological and intense. The work is presented in frame style.
