Description
Jaap Dommisse (1929-1984) Mid Century Cobra Style Studio Pottery Dish, The Netherlands, 1950s. Beautiful and quintessentially mid-century studio pottery dish / plate by Dutch artist Jaap Dommisse. His work is often referred to as being Cobra-esque, resembling works from the Cobra art movement. This dish is a beautifully crafted and modernist piece, to display on a wall (there are holes on the back to hang it on the wall), table or sideboard. Beautiful thick and raw glazed. A great piece for collectors, lovers of mid-century pottery or for anyone who likes a little gem like this to display in their stylish interior. Great vintage condition, signed Dommisse at the back. The codes under his name refer to the colours used in the process.
