Ann Maes Modernist Literature Holder. Belgium / The Netherlands, 1981. This is a great modernist literature holder / magazine rack by Ann Maes (1952 – Bruges, Belgium) for her company Mace-Line. A simple yet very complex design consisting out of only a few lines, but looking great and different from every corner. Only painted steel and some well proportioned bends. Very elegant and stylish piece which looks very timeless, but at the same time is also very practical. Ann Maes is a Belgian born designer who went to the Design Academy in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. In the seventies she designed a well known fireplace set and a few years later she designed this literature holder in the same style and spirit. It comes in great vintage condition.
