Description
Camel Study is an original old master artwork realized by Stefano Della bella in 1640 ca. Black and white etching. The plate is from the suite “Ttes de diffrents animaux”. Includes frame. Label on the back. Stefano Della Bella (17 May 1610 12 July 1664) was an Italian draughtsman and printmaker known for etchings of a great variety of subjects. Returning to Florence in 1650, he resumed working under the protection of the Medici court, working for his patrons; he creates title pages, illustrations of feasts and views that enhance the Medici splendors. In 1656 he became a member of the Apatistas’ Academy. Stefano Della Bella has left us over a thousand engravings.
